alignment-based yoga

Solid foundation of yoga for beginners, for anyone who is or is not a pretzel (!), or anyone who needs a steady, grounded practice of body awareness, healthy but flexible alignment, breath work, and energy work.  Wonderful opportunity to discover the subtle body, how literal and figurative energy can meet, marry, heal, support and open.  Pay attention to your muscles, be kind to your bones.  Learn how balanced opposition can create healthy support ~ As Rumi says, “Beyond our ideas of right-doing and wrong-doing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there.”

We practice laughing, finding the light, not taking ourselves too seriously but seriously honoring the sacredness and power of this ancient mind-body-spirit practice.  Quite the invitation to safely turn inward, to practice opening to our essence, to discover boundaries (and, of course, push them!), to flow like water, or to be sacredly still.
